Tucker was at the beach with his family and girlfriend just a year ago as a carefree 18-year-old when his life changed in the blink of an eye. While enjoying the water with his girlfriend he dove down into the surf to tickle her toes when he hit a wall of sand causing him to immediately lose feeling in his legs and arms. If he would have enough oxygen to survive as he floated facedown in the ocean was the real question. Tucker was transported to the regional hospital and then airlifted to Washington hospital center in DC. For the next three weeks where he bought for his life the fracture of the C 4 disc had left him a quadriplegic. Breathing was the biggest issue. He fought for every breath as his diaphragm muscles compromised by the paralysis. Since then, Tucker has emerged from his life-threatening battle and embarked on the next phase of recovery and rehabilitation but the struggles he and his family face are still very real. This year it is our honor to name Tucker as lead beneficiary at our second annual Walking with Anthony Charity Celebrity Golf Tournament and Dinner.
